How to Get Started with Vectric Cut3D for CNC Machining 3D Models
Vectric Cut3D is a software product that allows you to create CNC toolpaths for machining 3D models that have been designed using a 3D CAD or Graphics design product such as AutoCAD, Rhino3D, 3D Studio etc. or scanned using a laser or touch probe device. Download the Free Trial Version of Cut3D
The first step is to download the free trial version of Cut3D from the Vectric website[^1^] [^2^]. The trial version is not time limited, nor does it require you to sign up with your personal details. All of the features are enabled and there are a selection of free projects available for you to download and cut on your CNC machine to check the compatibility. You can also use your own 3D models in the trial version, as long as they are in one of the supported file formats: STL, 3DS, DXF, OBJ, SBP, TXT, WRL, X, LWO or V3M.
Load a 3D Model
Once you have installed Cut3D on your computer, you can launch it and click on the "Open" button to load a 3D model.
